Lady Azzie L. Boswell

I have resided in Los Angeles, CA for the last 50 years.

I received 11 years of formal education in the Wilmot, AK school system, but completed 12th grade at Los Angeles High School in Los Angeles, CA.

During my formative years in AK, I excelled in sports, namely basketball.   There I was the star forward for the Wilmot Colored High School team.

I am the proud mother of four children, and grandmother to nine grandchildren.

As an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, I serve as an Usher and the Secretary of the Senior Board.   I announce the Sick list on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.  I have served as Men and Womenís Day Queen a number of times, raising thousands of dollars each time.   Whenever I set out to do anything I make sure I give it my all.  My favorite Bible verse is John 3:16.

In 1970, I became a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Since that time, I have served as Worthy Matron of my OES chapter for five years, as well as in several capacities for my Grand Chapter.

I served as Chief Counsellor of Alpha Council #1 for four years.   Other offices include Most Worthy Grand Matron of Zamora Court #1 for four years and National Supreme Daughter of the Year twice.

Currently I am Associate Royal Queen for Saba Royal Ladies Palace #1 as well as, the Co-chairperson for the Affaire Dí Elegante Ball for the third year.

In Chicago, IL August 2008, I was elected Supreme Chief Counsellor; and will do my best to fulfill the duties of my office.
